Summary: This study determined the success factors in the compliance of the Expanded Program of Immunization (EPI) of children less than five years of age in a barangay in Cebu City. The profile of the respondents as to age, marital status, educational attainment, monthly income, occupation, religion and relationship to the child/ children ages 5 years and below. This research study utilized descriptive- correlational research design using a researcher- made questionnaire to determine success factors in the compliance of the Expanded Program on Immunization in a barangay in Cebu City. The researcher- made questionnaire consisted of two parts; using Recognition Type of Questions and Likert's Scale for the responses. The first part consisted of recognition type of questions wich the respondnets are asked to choose from given choices. These choices contained the profile of the respondents. The second part of the questionnaire consists of questions that determine the success factors of the compliance of our respective respondents on Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI). The findings revealed that the majority of the respondents were 35-60 years old, college level, most of them were female, married, with income ranges from 5,000- 10,000 pesos per month, employed, Roman Catholic, and most of them were mothers. The factors that contributed to the success on the compliance of the Expanded Program on Immunization were the knowledge of the respondents regarding facts of the immunization, attitude of parents, guardians and health care providers about the adherence of immunization of the children; location of Barangay Health Center and its accessibility; and perception of the respondents of how they view the immunization whether its helpful to the children or not. There was a significant relationship between the age and the perception, gender and location, and monthly income and location. The researchers recommended to share best practices of the residents to the other Barangays, continue how they are implementing the expanded program on immunization in Barangay Apas and for the future researchers, to conduct the study in different barangay within Cebu City, or in a different barangay outside of Cebu City and identify more factors that affect the compliance of the primary care givers toward the Program on Immunization in Barangay X.
