Summary: This study determine the eating habits of children and their food preferences. The respondents of the study were the primary care giver of children below 5 years old. A descriptive-correlational research design was used.

The study revealed that most of the children ages five years old and below were fond of eating junk foods. They also eat too fast and they like to eat alone. For their food preferences, they mostly like junk foods, sweets, and chicken. Eating fruits and vegetables as well as drinking milk and coffee ranked the lowest in their food preferences. It was also shown in the study that the profile of the respondents do not affect significantly to their eating habits.

Based on the findings and conclusion, the researcher would like to propose an action plan through information dissemination in the form of giving pamphlets to the mothers of undernourished children ages five years old and below.
