Abstract: For most countries worldwide, teen pregnancy has long been a social, economic, and educational problem. Teenage pregnancy, occurring at a critical developmental stage of any teenager's life, has been identified as having adverse health and social consequences. This study aims to assess and solicit the associated effects of early motherhood on these teenagers. Also, this investigation seeks to determine the respondent's profiles and the strategies that help them cope throughout the whole pregnancy. This study utilized the descriptive correlational design using a researcher-made questionnaire. This study was conducted in three barangays of Pinamungajan Cebu, which are Lamac, Sibago and Punod. Using slovin's formula, 102 teenage mothers ages 13-18 years old from Pinamungajan, Cebu, were chosen as respondents. Respondents who expressed an interest in participating in the study were asked to sign a consent form after being told about the goals of the study, following the ethical principle of voluntarism. Also, the confidentiality of the study respondents and the data was ensured. Furthermore, simple percentages, weighted means, and Chi-square test of independence were used as a statistical treatment for the data analysis. The results revealed that the majority of respondents were 18 years old (56.9%), currently in cohabit with their partners (81.4%), 94.1 % of the whole population. Results showed that respondents experienced vertigo, feeling tired, mood swings, irritability, and anxiety throughout their pregnancy, and having a problem with absences and tardiness in school. Hence, the rural health units and local government in Pinamungajan are encouraged to implement the proposed action plan to reduce the unwanted early pregnancy prevalence rate.
