Abstract: The system was developed in order to automate the monitoring system for traffic violations. The system is composed of two parts first is the device that will be attached to the vehicle where the violations will be recorded to and the second is the transmitter. The transmitter will be attached to traffic signs " No Parking" and " No Stopping". It will emit signals. When the device in the vehicle detects the signal from the traffic sign, the device will follow an algorithm to determine if the vehicle has committed an offense to the memory card of the device. The time, date and type of offense will be recorded in the memory card.
