Abstract: This system was developed to lessen the numbers of index crime specifically robbery, theft and others by giving a committed response from the Central Monitoring Office when the alarm was detected. By this committed response it can save lives and properties from any possible accidents that could happen in one of the registered house. This study was divided into sub-systems namely: central monitoring office and residential unit.
Every registered house will have an installed microcontroller unit based alarm system which has the ability to monitor fire, intruder, and other emergency in each house. In order to monitor, the system should be activated or not. If one of the devices triggered, the microcontroller (PIC18F452) will process it and determine what kind of device triggered and this will make an action going to the GSM module (transmitter) to send a message to the central monitoring office (Guard House).
In the central monitoring office is where the server found and all registered house stored in the database . Once they received the message via cellphone (T290i) from the registered house it will pop up a warning message and show the house's owner information with the details of the triggered device. And, the officer-in-charge calls the police and sends a security unit in the house of the victims.
