In the tourism industry, cultural preservation is a crucial aspect of maintaining the identity and value of cultural heritage. Cebu's historic tartanilla are facing extinction due to modernization. The dwindling numbers of tartanilla, driven by paradistas selling horses and struggling with rising costs of horse feed and inflation, threaten their role as cultural symbols and links to the city's rich past that embody a unique aspect of Cebu's heritage. Therefore, the researchers propose efforts to preserve this traditional mode of transportation and the associated customs of the paradistas.
