Antibiotic resistance is a modern health problem that continues to rise and has lost its capability against bacteria. This study aimed to evaluate the antibiotic resistance and ESBL production of Escherichia coli isolated from samples acquired from Mahiga Creek in Barangay Apas, Cebu City. The study aims to describe the characteristics of the E. coli population in the river of Barangay Apas.
