Summary: This study was conducted to determine the common complications among Postpartum Women with Irregular Prenatal Visits in the 13 sitios of Barangay Hipodromo. The questionnaire contained three parts: first is the profile of the subjects, secondly the level of compliance of the subjects and lastly were the common complications among postpartum women. After the data were retrieved, the results were tallied and interpreted.
Based on the data collected, analyzed and interpreted, the findings were as follows: (1) Majority of the postpartum women in Barangay Hipodromo,Cebu City, Philippines belong to the age range 20-35 years old.(2) The postpartum are mostly cohabiting with their partner. (3) Most of the postpartum women in Barngay Hipodromo, Cebu City, Philippines have reached their college level. (4) Majority of the postpartum women in Barngay Hipodromo, Cebu, City, Philippines has a monthly income ranging from 0.00-6093 Php. (5) Majority of the postpartum women in Barangay Hipodromo, Cebu City, Philippines has only one child.(6) The common complications experienced by the postpartum women in Barangay Hipodromo, Cebu City, Philippines are the following: breech delivery, postpartum bleeding, prolonged labor and placenta previa. (7). There was no significant relationship between the subject's profile and the common complications experienced.
Based on the findings of the study, the researcher's concluded that the subjects profile and the common complications experienced had no significant relationship. The common complications experienced were breech delivery, prolonged labor, postpartum bleeding and placenta previa.
