Summary: The purpose of this study is to know the relationship between emotional intelligence and the programming performance among selected Information Technology (IT) students of University of Cebu- Banilad Campus first semster of school year 2005-2006.
Specifically, this study seeks answers to the following questions:
1. What is the profile of the respondents in terms of:
1.1 Emotional Intelligence
1.2 Programming performance
2. Is there a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and the programming performance of a student?
3. What recommendations may be proposed to improve programming performance of the respondents.
