"Before the understanding on deviant human behavior to be result of influences on culture, society, values, morals, ethics and genetics emerged, it was initially thought to be a product of demonic influence and/ or driven by the free-will of an individual.
This book ha enumerated and discussed about several factors by which deviant behaviors might have arisen. Moreover, the book has not failed t give attention to the victims and the psychological effects of crime to them while considering the processes they go through after their victimization.
This book is intended to aid present and future law enforcers as well as the common citizens in understanding that the commission of a crime does not end with the conviction of the criminal but it should also be supported with the understanding on where the deviant behavior is coming from to realize the proper intervention that fits the deviant individual. Furthermore, it is to help in understanding that justice for the victims does not end with the conviction of their perpetrators but with the restoration of things which existed before the commission of the crime which resulted to their victimization.
It is hoped that this publication will supplement whatever existing knowledge a reader has on human behavior and victimology as well as change whatever exisitng misconceptions a reader has on the same subject. —Foreword
