"Traffic congestion and road safety challenges persist in urban areas due to frequent violations of no-stopping zone regulations. In Lapu-Lapu City, a rapidly developing economic and tourism hub in Cebu, Philippines, effective enforcement of these regulations is essential to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety. This study assessed the knowledge and self-assessment of 133 traffic enforcers in implementing no-stopping zone techniques using a descriptive-correlational research design. Respondents were selected through Slovin's formula with a 5% margin of error and simple random sampling, and data were collected using a researcher-made survey validated through a dry run with 20 TEAM personnel. Findings revealed that traffic enforcers are most 46-53 years old, males, married, high school graduate and had an experience of 5-9 years and traffic enforcers are highly knowledgeable about designated no-stopping zones and routine enforcement procedures, yet slightly less confident in identifying high-risk areas and applying escalation protocols. Additionally, traffic enforcers are strongly agreed on monitoring the No stopping zones during their shift and knows when to escalate enforcement to towing or other actions. The study also found no significant relationship between demographic profiles, knowledge levels, and self-assessment, highlighting the role of standardized training and field experience in shaping competence. Based on these insights, a targeted intervention plan is proposed to enhance scenario-based training, reinforce escalation procedures, and improve self-assessment accuracy. The implementation of such measures is expected to strengthen enforcement practices, promote compliance with no-stopping regulations, and contribute to safer and more efficient traffic management in Lapu-Lapu City." —Abstract
