Summary: The project was all about GPS and GPRS tracking device used for automobiles. It is composed of Geolocation (GPS+GPRS) tracker with SIM908 and Arduino Uno supplied by a 2300mA/h and 9V battery respectively. The device will be used in locating lost vehicles and safeguard automobiles from car thieves. If the owner noticed that the car is missing, The owner can activate the device by calling the number in the module. The module receives the call and checks the number that is registered number at its processor whether the number is correct. After the validation of the registered number, the disabling function of the system will be activated. In disabling system, the relay switches form the normally open circuit to stop the vehicle. The system sends exact coordinates to the owner and uploads the exact coordinates to the registered website. The device updates the location for every 2 seconds. Once the owner receives the location, he can contact the authorities for retrieval of the vehicle.
It was found out that this device gives a big benefit to the citizen. For further improvement, it is suggested to put some advancement making the device to notify the user that their vehicle is stolen.
