Summary: Recreational activities is an essential part in the tourism industry where it could boost the popularity of an area. There are tourists who want to spend their free time on recreational activities where they could experience social interaction with different people. This study determined the impact and contribution brought by the fishing sites to the residents in Barangay Poblacion, Liloan and Barangay Tayud, Consolacion Cebu. This study assessed the profile of the respondents in terms of age, gender, civil status and educational attainment of the residents. This study utilized a descriptive research method using a researcher-made questionnaire. There were 116 total respondents who were chosen randomly. Statistical treatments used are: simple percentage and weighted mean. The findings revealed that the majority of the respondents belonged to ages 18-28 years old, most of them were males, college graduate and were married. The residents perceived that the fishing site, in terms of waste management, air pollution and environmental degradation does not have an impact on them at all. Furthermore, residents also perceived also that the fishing site did not contribute to them directly in terms of income, job and business opportunity.
