Summary: This study determined the level of satisfaction and compliance of 40 pregnant women on antenatal health services in a barangay health center. The research design is descriptive-correlational. This study utilized a 10 item three point and 10 items two point Likert scare research-made questionnaire composed of three parts. The first part pertained to the respondent's profile regarding their age, civil status and highest educational attainment. The second part of the questionnaire consisted of 10 items which measured the levels of satisfaction on the antenatal health services offered to the respondents. The third part of the questionnaire consisted of 10 items which measured the compliance of the respondents on the antenatal health services.
The findings revealed that most of the respondents were within the age of 21-25 years old, single and their highest educational attainment was high school level/graduate. It also showed that the laboratory screening and medical management had the lowest level of satisfaction and compliance rate of all the antenatal health services provided by the barangay health center.
Based on the findings, the researchers concluded that respondents were highly satisfied thus; they were typically compliant with the antenatal health services offered in barangay health center in Cebu. Recommendations include: conducting health teachings about the importance of different laboratory procedures, suggesting to the chairman of health and health workers about posting informational posters about the importance of antenatal health services, providing informational leaflets to the barangay health center and pregnant women, and further studies be conducted.
