Thesis (Degree Bachelor of Science in Nursing) -- University of Cebu-Banilad, 2009.

Summary: Caring is an integral part of nursing. This word is always associated to nurses in the hospital setting. This reflects the attitude of the nurses towards their patients as well as their reputations in being a person that renders utmost care and affection. This is tantamount to being always there for them 24/7 and treats all of them as a being who duly deserves their respect and their time. The study aims to determine the client's level of satisfaction of the care that they had received during their admission at St. Vincent General Hospital. We gather our data by distributing questionnaires which consist of five aspects: consistency, honesty, respect, caring and attentiveness. Our results suggested that the clients are satisfied in three categories namely Consistency, Respect, and Honesty. On the other hand, clients are less satisfied with regards to Caring and Attentiveness. This implies that staff nurses should focus more in providing care and giving undivided attention to the clients.
