Summary: This study determined the extent of influence of information technology on the social interaction of student nurses of the University of Cebu. The study utilized a descriptive-correlational method. A 2-part researcher-made questionnaire was utilized. The questionnaire consisted of two parts. The first part was the profile of the respondents in terms of age, gender and the type of information technology frequently used. Part 2 determined the extent of influence of information technology on social interaction. Based on the data collected, analyzed and interpreted, the findings are as follows: (1) Profile of the respondents - that most of the respondents using information technology are aged 16-19 years old, females, level IV students. (2) Type of information technology frequently used is cell phones. (3) Extent of influence of information technology on social interaction-information technology moderately influenced the social interaction of the respondents. (4) Relationship between the profile of the respondents and information technology that influences social interaction - there is significant relationship between age, year level, and extent of influence of information technology used on social interaction among student nurses. Based on the findings of the study, the researcher concluded that information technology moderately influenced the social interaction of the respondents.
