Summary: The philosophy, ethics, and politics of human caring are central to the health and development concerns of nation. Human caring is about health for people and their development and self-reliance. Health care as a social and moral imperative is provided by a multidisciplinary team. Nursing in an integral part of the health care system. It encompasses the provision of preventive care, curative care, chronic and rehabilitative care high dependency care, and care of the dying in varied institutional and community settings. The unique function of nurses in caring for individuals, sick or well is to assess their responses to their health or recovery or to dignified death that they would perform unaided if they had the necessary strength, will or knowledge and to do this in such a way as to help them gain full or partial independence as rapidly as possible.
