Summary, etc Summary: The study determined the level of competency of level IV nursing students on daily therapies as perceived by the residents of the Hospicio de San Jose. The findings of which will be the basis for the proposed manual for nursing students providing geriatric daily therapies.<br/>Specifically, it sought to answer the demographic profile of the residents in terms of gender, educational attainment and length of stay, the level of competency of the level IV nursing students conducting daily therapies as perceived by the Hospicio de San Jose Residents and if there is a significant relationship between the profile of the Hospicio de San Jose residents and their perceptions on the level of competencies of the level IV nursing students in the University of Cebu- College of Nursing on conducting the daily therapies. And based on the findings, what possible recommendations can be made.<br/>There is no significant relationship between the demographic profile of the respondents on their perceptions on the level of how effective are the therapeutic skills of the level IV nursing students of the University of Cebu- College of Nursing.<br/>The evaluation of the residents on how the daily therapies have been rendered to them by its clarity was rated with 1.40 and delivery with a mean of 1.30 which is both recognized as "highly therapeutic".<br/>Therefore, the daily therapies prepared and utilized by the nursing students of the College of Nursing of the University of Cebu- Banilad Campus have been proven to be highly therapeutic and effective. These, proved that nursing students on the competencies in rendering daily therapies to geriatric patients. The clarity and delivery of the daily therapies has helped the mental and physical wellness of the residents of the Hospicio de San Jose.<br/>The study revealed 67% of the respondents are females that 63% have stayed for 1-5 years in Hospicio de San Jose which are elementary level (44%), they attested that the level of competency of the nursing students on their daily therapies conducted to Hospicio de San Jose was highly therapeutic. Therefore, the study presented that there is no significant relationship on their demographic profile on how they perceived the competency of the level IV nursing student of the College of Nursing of Southwestern University on their conducted daily therapies.<br/>Since the delivery and clarity of the nursing students as to their competency in conducting daily therapies are highly therapeutic, the researchers recommend that the delivery and clarity of delivering be maintained. For the utilization of the therapies, for the Hospicio de San Jose and for the next nursing students of the University of Cebu be assigned in Hospicio de San Jose, a proposal was made to maintain the daily therapies. For the therapists or nursing students in University of Cebu in the study, who design, compile and produce A MANUAL OF THERAPIES FOR GERIATRIC PATIENTS. Help in studying, compiling and designing on the process of making A MANUAL OF THERAPIES FOR GERIATRIC PATIENTS to set uniform, reliable and customized way of delivering different highly effective therapies. Participate in the dry run to check if it really fits with the existing condition of their patients and for future use. For the future researchers who has a parallel study should be conducted to validate the functionality of the proposed MANUAL FOR THE NURSING STUDENTS PROVIDING DAILY THERAPIES. Regardless of the design module pf therapies, the manual should maintain highly therapeutic delivery and clarity of the therapies to the patients.
