Summary, etc Summary: Health education is a priceless bearing that nurse educators can give. It is not an essential means of enhancing client's health but also empowering them to make bold changes in improving their lifestyles. However, client's extent of learning may be affected by how health teachings are being conducted and delivered.<br/>Hence, the study aimed to determine the health teaching strategies preferred by the residents in Brgy. Tungkop, Minglanilla, Cebu. Specifically, the study sought to answer queries on the profile of the respondents according to age, gender and educational attainment, their preferred health teaching strategies, and the relationship between profile of the respondents and their preferences of health teaching strategies. Furthermore, the researcher were also geared to propose a health teaching plan to be utilized to facilitate effective learning of the residents.<br/>The study conducted is a quantitative research. Using the quota sampling, the 384 respondents were randomly taken from the different sitios in Barangay Tungkop, Minglanilla. Questionnaires were distributed to the respondents to gather data. The weighted mean is being used to identify the general response of the respondents on their preference of health teaching strategies based on their profile. The chi square of independence was used to determine the relationship between the profile and the preferred health teaching strategies among the respondents.<br/>On the profile of the respondents, data revealed that majority of the respondents belonged to the age ranging from 16-19 years old with a percentage of 42.71. As to gender, the males who garnered 52.60% outnumbered the female respondents. Furthermore, most of the respondents were in the high school level having 61.46%.<br/>Findings showed that when health teachings are conducted in the community, majority of the respondents preferred multiple strategies gaining 42.71%. On the other hand, they least preferred audiovisuals and interactive lecture as strategies for health education.<br/>In conclusion, the residents in BarangayTungkop, Minglanilla preferred variety of teaching strategies to be integrated when the health education is conducted in their community.<br/>Lastly, the null hypothesis was accepted since there was no enough evidence that showed a significant relationship between the respondents' profile and their preferred health teaching strategies.<br/>The researchers recommended that variety of teaching strategies will be utilized according to its relevance in giving health education. The researchers also suggested to maximize the use of the proposed health teaching plan to facilitate learning to the residents in Barangay Tungkop, Minglanilla, Cebu.
