Summary, etc Summary: Jaywalking prevention program aimed to decongest traffic congestion and to provide safety to the pedestrians. In Republic Act No.4136 also known as " Land Transportation of the Philippines" states that the pedestrians rights and duties are to occupy or past on spaces or portions of traffic way allocated for them like crossing on pedestrian lanes and passing on sidewalks and catwalks.<br/><br/>This study utilized a descriptive-correlational design. A total pf one hundred fifty (150) respondents were considered through systematic random sampling. This study was conducted outside the UC-Banilad Campus. A researcher made questionnaire was used in data gathering. Simple percent, weighted mean, chi-square, and Cramer's V were computed for treatment of data.<br/><br/>The findings revealed that majority of the respondents within the age of 18-19 years old with the frequency of 100 and is equivalent to 66.7%. Female respondents perceive that the jaywalking prevention program indicated has been implemented at an above average level. Respondents constituted with the frequency of 76 and are equivalent to 50.7%. There is no significant relationship between the age, gender, and their perception in the implementation of jaywalking prevention program in Gov. Cuenco Avenue, Banilad Cebu City.
