520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc Summary: The responsibility of the school does not end after graduation. The real measure of its success is when graduates land on a job. Employability is the opportunity of these graduates to be qualified, hired and get paid in a company or an institution. Knowing the employment facts and figures of the Philippines nowadays prompted the researchers to conduct this study. This determined the employabillity of the University of Cebu- Banilad graduates. It utilized descriptive-correlational research design using the Graduate Tracer Survey- a standardized tool from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Philippines. The study was conducted at the University of Cebu-Banilad, Cebu City, Philippines. The respondents of the study were the 2006-2010 graduates of the said institution from Business Administration and Accountancy, Education, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Tourism, Computer Studies, Nursing, Engineering, and Criminology. The data were statistically treated using simple percentage, ranking, and chi-square test of independence.

Based on the key finding of the study, a significant relationship was found between the region of origin and line of business; degree obtained and current jobs; degree obtained and line of business; and degree obtained and job level profession among Business Administration and Accountancy graduates. For the Education graduate respondents, the degree obtained and the line of business ; job level profession; professional examinations taken and current jobs were found to have a significant relationship. A significant relationship was seen between gender and current job as well as degree obtained and current job for HRM and Tourism respondents. Only the degree obtained and current jobs were significantly related when it comes to the profile and employment data of the Computer Studies graduates. A significant relationship was found between the civil status profile and the current jobs and place of work for nursing graduates. Professional examinations taken; current jobs; line of business and place of work were also significantly related. For Engineering graduate respondents, a significant relationship was found between the degree obtained and place of work; and professional examinations taken and current job and job level profession. While the gender profile had a significant relationship with the job level profession; and professional examinations taken and current job were also significantly related.

The researchers concluded that the graduated were highly employed. The researchers recommended the following (1) encouragement of faculty researchers to conduct tracer study to determine the employability of the graduates from various campuses of the University of Cebu, (2) department head should review and upgrade curricula ton develop further competencies of students which are helpful in their future endeavors such as information technology skills (3) linkage with possible employers to ensure employability of graduates, (4) facilitate and practice alternatives for career expansion for students (PACES) through a four track career mobility program (clinical research, education and administration tracks), (5) a student's performance appraisal be conducted by class advisers, and (6) provision of structured didactic classes and individually designed practical experiences.
