Summary, etc Summary:This study was made to assess on the extent of utilization of the nursing care plan in rendering patient care among the University of Cebu- College of Nursing student nurses. This was conducted in the University of Cebu -Banilad among 35 nursing students. The sample size was determined using Sloven's formula. Simple percentage, Weighted mean and Chi Square Formula were the statistical treatment utilized in the analysis and interpretation of data.<br/><br/>Most of the respondents are the student nurses belong to the age bracket of 18-19 years old. Level II and level IV nursing students are frequent users of nursing care plan, while level III nursing students always use the nursing care plan when rendering patient care. The study revealed that there is a significant relationship between the age, gender, and, year level of the respondents to the frequency of utilization of the nursing care plan. A conclusion that level III nursing students always utilize the nursing care plan when rendering patient care. Level II and IV are frequent users of the Nursing care plan when rendering patient care.<br/><br/>The researchers strongly recommends the following: the Level II and IV students should have seminar on the utilization of their nursing care plans; instructors are encouraged to have a conference with each student with regards to their nursing care plan; the instructors should also be reminded to carefully monitor if nursing care plan made by the students really served its purpose.
