"Everything in this world changes. A very important purpose of revising this book is to have it updated. In this third edition of Psychology Applied to Business and Industry which first appeared in 1978, attempts have been made to reach this objective by the modifications that one can observe.<br/>Those acquainted with the previous edition will readily observe the extent to which this edition differs from it. The chapters that have undergone revisions or have been expanded are those on Personality, Emotions and Emotional Behavior, Human Relations, and Etiquette in Business.<br/>Two chapters, Chapter 6 which is on Stress, and Chapter 9, on Business and Industrial Problems of Management and Workers, have been added. Since at this age of advanced science and high technology everybody seems to experience stress having a knowledge of how to cope with it would be of great significance to the society. There is a need to make Business and Industrial Psychology students aware of problems that they may encounter when they go out to the field so that they may know how to deal with the situation, thus reducing frustration.<br/>The authors are indebted to all the writers listed in the Bibliography of this book and to all those teaching Business and Industrial Psychology subjects who are using it.
