Summary, etc Abstract: Regular and complete prenatal cares greatly contribute to the overall process of pregnancy for it prevents potential problems, and is the best way to promote a healthy birth. The purpose of the study was to the prenatal care challenges and coping among pregnant women during Covid 19 in Sitio Univille, Kasambagan, and Cebu City having a total of 30 pregnant women participated in the study.
A researcher-made questionnaire consisting of 3 parts was given to the respondents of the study. The study adopted a quantitative descriptive Correlational method to collect information that determined the challenges among the pregnant women in Sitio Univille, Barangay Kasambagan. Thirty out of seventy-two pregnant women were chosen as the study's respondents. In the study's conduct, ethical protocols were observed to ensure their human rights are not violated.
Based on the findings of the study, majority of the respondents (60%) belonged to the age bracket 25-60 years old, a great percentage 73.3% are single. Most of the respondents are high school graduates at 60% and mostly on their second-fifth parity. In prenatal challenges, restricting access to routine prenatal care due to the community quarantine protocols has the highest weighted mean of 2.47; and the location having the lowest mean of 2.47. The highest weighted mean 3.33 indicate that the respondents used a great deal to talk to someone to find out more about the situation. Furthermore, there is no significant relationship between respondents' profile and their coping mechanisms but showed a positive relationship between the prenatal challenges and coping mechanisms as reflected in the overall computed Pearson r value of 0.918 which can be interpreted as very high correlation.
