An assessment of the level of knowledge about tetanus infection among residents of dumpsite areas is crucial primarily to identify gaps or misconceptions about tetanus transmission, symptoms, and prevention methods. A thorough understanding of the residents' level of knowledge about tetanus infection will help to determine specific areas where education is needed most urgently. Addressing these gaps will improve community health literacy -- enabling individuals to access, understand, and use information in ways that promote and maintain good health (World Health Organization [WHO], 2023). |
