"Pricing is a critical aspect of any business, as it directly affects customer perception, purchasing decisions, and overall profitability. Setting the right price requires balancing affordability with the need to cover costs and generate sustainable revenue. In thrift shops, effective pricing is especially important because these stores aim to offer value-based, and low-cost clothing options while remaining financially viable. These shops often employ different pricing methods such as cost-based, competition-based pricing or a combination of the methods. By doing so, thrift stores can attract a diverse customer base, maintain competitive positioning, and support their mission of providing affordable goods without compromising profitability. customer<br/>This study utilized a quantitative descriptive research design in determining the pricing practices of the thrift shops in Cebu City. To collect relevant data, the researchers surveyed thirty (30) thrift shop owners or managers using a researcher-made questionnaire. The data gathered was then treated through frequency count and simple percentage to analyze the profile of the respondents in terms of location, primary productoffering, years of operation, and average sales per month. Weighted mean was used to determine the respondents' pricing practices and One-way analysis of variance for determining the significant difference between the pricing practices of thrift shops when grouped according to profile. This study incorporated the ethical principles of beneficence by offering thrift shop owners a pricing strategy to enhance profitability. non-maleficence by ensuring participants physical and emotional readiness through orientation, justice by maintaining fair and unbiased respondent selection, and autonomy by providing clear explanations to secure informed and voluntary consent.<br/>Most of the thrift shops in Cebu City are located in public markets and primarily offer clothes. The majority have been operating for 1 to 5 years and report average monthly sales below Php 100,000.00. Moreover, the pricing practices of thrift shops reveal that cost-based pricing method is highly practiced, with most shops focusing on covering all costs to ensure profitability while customer value-based pricing method and competition-based pricing method is moderately practiced. Furthermore, there is no significant difference between the pricing practices of thrift shops when grouped according to profile. Additionally, the study showed that thrift shops predominantly use a cost-based pricing method, which involves calculating all costs, applying a markup, and determining the break-even point. Therefore, it can be concluded that thrift shops in Cebu City predominantly rely on cost-based pricing methods regardless of their location. product offerings, years of operation, or average monthly sales, as variations in their profiles do not result in significant differences in the pricing methods they practice.
