Summary, etc "Education on nutrition is a widespread course in school, universities, and government policies worldwide. Understanding nutrition is a key factor in making healthy food choices (Ali et al/. 2020). Furthermore, augmenting nutriutional knowledge is essential in establishing knowledge is essential in establishing a salubrious society and reducing the prevalence of diseases related to poor nutrition. Existing studies have shown that nutritional knowledge impacts adopting healthy eating habits, particularly among university students (Almansour et al., 2020; Ali et al., 2020) and adults (Scalvedi et al., 2021). The higher the level of knowledge, the greater conformity to healthy food recommendations (Scaveldi et al., 2021). Despite the positive correlation, the impact of nutritional knowledge on dietary intake behaviors can be weak, with some studies indicating that it may not always be sufficient to influence eating habits (Ali et al., 2020, Almasi & Rakiciogly, 2021). Students frequently experience significant changes when transitioning from high school to college, especially as they become more independent in making decisions about their lifestyle habits and food choices. When students start college, they encounter a new food environment that can strongly influence their eating habits and intentions engage in healthy behaviors (Sogari, 2018). Working scholars in particular, face additional challenges compared to non-working students. Research shows that work-school conflict negatively affects the psychological well-being of working students, leading to increased stress and serious mental health concerns (Park & Spring, 2013). Moreover, working scholars tend to have unhealthy habits, including inadequate physical activity, poor eating choices, and heightened stress, as they try to balance work, school, and personal life (Miller et al., 2010). The food environment within schools also plays a significant role in shaping students' eating habits. University food environments, characterized by convenience, pricing, and the availability of healthy options, frequently result in poor dietary choices due to limited access to nutritious foods (Carducci et al., 2022). According to research, food environment interventions in low and middle income countries have been found to improve dietary behaviors and reduce malnutrition among children and adolescents (Carducci et al., 2020). Despite existing studies on the relationship of nutritional knowledge and consumption behaviors of college students and adults, information on its influence on working scholars is scarce. This study aims to explore the level of nutritional knowledge among working scholars and to investigate whether such knowledge is sufficient to influence their food choices and dietary intake.
