"The book is intended for Criminology students as a reference on the course on First Aid and Water Safety. The topics were arranged from the foundations to the core competencies in order to provide a gradual delivery in the order of of learnings and meet the target objectives respectively. Considering that most of the students are first time learners in the course, the topics as well as terminologies and their meanings were simplified to ease in the apprehension of knowledge.<br/><br/>In this course, significant procedures as well as techniques in the first aid and emergency services were the core topics. In conjunction, the learners will be able to appreciate the reality behind the proper handling during the occurrence of accident, injuries, fatalities, crime incidents and other related emergency situations. The elementary teachings on artificial respiration and bandaging techniques are likewise included in order to capacitate them in life resuscitation, maximizing the resources at hand while awaiting the medical attendance.<br/><br/>In the modern world, the advent of modern technology advances the trends in first aid and emergency services especially the significance of rescue and communications equipment. However, the contents of this book do not include beyond the basics, only those that are commensurate to the needs of a first-time learner.
