"We are inspired to write this book as a guide for everybody to be fully aware of their rights as human beings in order of such rights to be protected and be respected by everyone.<br/><br/>As a retired police officer, I had experienced and encountered stories about out injustices or human rights violations by the underprivileged members of our society which motivated me to undergo the Seminar on Human Rights Trainer's Training conducted by the Commission on Human Rights dated 2001at Villa Cristina, Antipolo City, Rizal.<br/><br/>As a Presiding Judge, I met different personalities as my clients who are claiming justice to be rendered to them in relation to their cases filed in court.<br/><br/>With these experiences, we would like to impart to others, particularly to our students taking Criminal Law and Jurisprudence (CLJ2) in the College of Criminology.<br/><br/>Given this belief, there are seven (7) chapters presented in this book with review questionnaires." —Preface |
