"This book, Fundamentals of Industrial Security, is a first-year subject for students taking a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Security Management course. It covers the basic, fundamentals, and foundational principles of security in general and Industrial Security to be specific. This humble piece of work labored with love and passion can also be used as a reference by students taking the course Bachelor of Science in Criminology enrolled in a subject Introduction to "Industrial Security Concepts, additional review materials for Criminology graduates preparing for Criminologists Licensure Examination, and guide reference for professionals in the practice of the Security Profession.<br/><br/>Consultant for a In my experience as a Security Consu ted speaker on security topics in the decade and invited country, I discovered the lack of materials and references related to the topic of this book. The worst scenario is als initiating there are scarcity of practicing professionals to contribute to this field of endeavor. Honestly, in the Philippines, the vast array of knowledge, training, expertise, and industrial security experience is lacking teachers teaching security with other Criminology tea subjects. We used books as references and materials that are not suited, tailored, and customized to the needs of the security industry in our country that would prepare our graduates to be globally competitive professionals in the future.<br/><br/>Bachelor of The graduates of this course Science in Industrial Security have many employment opportunities locally and overseas. The graduates can join the three tri bureaus in the government service (PNP, BJMP, BFP), the AFP, and the BUCOR. They can be employed as supervisors and managers of any private or government security agency or office. The graduates should remember and be reminded that all industrial businesses and government offices in our country have a security and safety division or office where they can be employed and that is to include overseas employment. In summary, the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Security is a promising new course in the country considering the diffe different employment opportunities loc Management is an undergraduate program that focuses globally. A Bachelor of Science in Industrial Security nities locally and on preparing students to manage security operations in various industrial and organizational settings in the future. Graduates of this course will have knowledge in security management and administration which will qualify them to be security supervisors, managers, inspectors, and even security consultants or advisers including the management of the security guard force, meaning they will supervise and direct the function of a security guard in the workplace. They are not trained and schooled to become a security guard but trained to be future security professionals who will manage and supervise the industrial sec security business.<br/><br/>As an author, a practicing Security Professional, and a Security Consultant, I was inspired and motivated to write and publish this book as part of my professional contribution in the field of security profession." —Preface |
