"This textbook aims to acquaint Senior High School students with the concepts, principles, themes, methods, and rudiments of research. This book guides the students, through a step-by-step process, in writing the research proposal and conducting qualitative research. The book is divided into the following units:<br/><br/>Unit 1. The Nature of Research, introduces the students to the rudiments of research, research ethics, and the different types of research. The unit also guides the students in determining their research problem, composing the research title and introduction, and defining the scope and delimitations of their research.<br/><br/>Unit 2, Review of Literature, discusses the review process, research writing standards, and guides the students in making the research framework and the review of related literature and studies.<br/><br/>Unit 3, Conducting Qualitative Research, guides the students in the implementation of the research. It discusses methodology and design, sampling, data collection, and determining validity and reliability.<br/><br/>Unit 4. Analyzing the Meaning of the Data and Drawing Conclusions, discusses drawing patterns and themes from collected data, and guides the students in writing the summary of findings, conclusions, and recommendations.<br/><br/>This textbook features a variety of sources, citing authors and works that represent the broad topics in the field of research, and uses materials aimed to enhance the research knowledge of students.
