Summary, etc Summary: Museums play a significant role in the tourism industry. They provide the tourists plenty of information on our history and culture. There are different influences that affect the satisfaction of the tourists from visiting museums. This study determined the level of satisfaction of the tourists based on their museum experience and the benefits obtained by tourists from visiting museums. This investigation utilized a descriptive-correlation method using researcher-made questionnaire. Statistical treatments used for data analysis were simple percentage, weighted mean, and T-test of difference. There were 101 respondents consisting both local and foreign tourists in the chosen museums in Cebu City. The findings revealed that majority of the respondents were young adults comprised of females. Most of the respondents were college level. The respondents were mostly local tourists. Most of the respondents were students. The ratings showed that the respondents were satisfied in the museums in Cebu City. Respondents agreed that they benefited from visiting museums in terms of better understanding of Cebuano culture; provide entertainment, provide educational experience and offers variety of collections. The test of hypothesis reveals that there is no significant difference between the perception of the local and foreign tourists on their level of satisfaction and the benefits they obtained from visiting the museums. The researchers concluded that both the local and foreign tourists' were satisfied with their experience in the museums. Both local and foreign tourists' agreed to the benefits which they obtained from visiting museums. The proposed action plan would be the improvement of the facilities, customer service and safety and security of the museums to ensure the further satisfaction of the tourists.
