It was concerned with the use of code mixing in an English class, and how did it affect the students' test scores after the discussion. Researcher's made questionnaire was used by the researcher for data gathering. Statistical treatments used for data analysis were percentages, weighted mean, frequency, and T-test for two independent samples.Based on the findings, the Group A were English was used by the teacher as a medium of instruction got a higher average score than those of students from Group B where code-mixing was used in the classroom by the teacher. Therefore, English as a medium of instruction will help the students attain better scores for it was introduced by schools to them starting from the early years of formal education.
