Summary, etc Summary: Proper management is always of paramount importance because it will always reflect the performance of the staff and the maintenance of the facilities. Satisfaction of the guests visiting the area is of utmost consideration since it is one way of promoting the destination especially through enticing word-of-mouth advertisement from the tourists who had been to such area. This study will assess the facilities and services of Cebu Zoo as to how the tourist had experienced during their visit to the zoo.
The researchers used descriptive-correlation research design. They used the survey method and provided researcher-made questionnaires to the 100 respondents who are tourists who visited Cebu Zoo. A quantitative type of research method was used to collect, measure, analyze and summarize the numerical data. The majority of the respondents were college level, ages 18-22 and most of them were female. The researchers utilized the simple percentage for profiling the respondents, weighted mean in determining their assessment of the Zoo and chi-square to test the hypothesis. The hypothesis was rejected which implied that there was a significant relationship between the profile of the respondents and the assessment of the facilities and services in Cebu Zoo. The respondents agreed that the staff showed professionalism with their performances. It means that the staff was active in interacting with the visitors. The management needs to address the aspects that need improvement regarding the facilities and services of Cebu Zoo. Hence, the zoo could improve and fulfill the expectations of the tourists.
