520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc Summary: Drones are becoming very popular worldwide. The most common means of controlling these unmanned aerial vehicles is through RC transmitter which is typically bulky. The researchers develop a prototype of an android-controlled arduino-based quadcopter equipped with night vision camera. Instead of radio controller, android phone is used to perform the same function that will exceed the limitation of typical drone. Quadcopters can be designed to perform specific tasks. Their limitless potential is being enjoyed by various people and entities in industry. Business photography is one of the obvious examples here. Android phone-drone communication is designed by the researchers with the use of bluetooth and xbee modules and arduino boards. The user's command from android phone is wirelessly sent to bluetooth module. The data received is handled by an arduino board and forwards it to the xbee module. then, this module governs the long range wireless transmission to another xbee module placed on the actual drone. Upon the implementation of this study, the researchers found out that the arduino must be dedicated to handle the processing of data from the gyroscope and accelerometer sensors for the stability of the drone. Extra care must be observed in the maintenance of the batteries used for drones. Because of the high-power brushless motors used, motor casing becomes so hot when used for several minutes which is normal and expected . In order to build and innovate drone technology, one must have a thorough knowledge about this field of study. The unending trial and error cycle is expected and must be responded with an educated and refined solution to avoid damaging the components and additional expenses.
