Summary, etc |
Summary: The allusion is a literary device in writing that has been used over centuries, and literature offer myriad of gateways to explore this device. One gateway for exploration is John Milton’s recognized, and part of its Paradise Lost. This epic poem narrates the events that are seeking to have been inspired by the Bible, most especially the Genesis. However, millennial nowadays are not almost inclined to reading literature, and little investigates articles, journals, and books to prove that Paradise Lost is inspired from the Genesis, and the allusions found would firm this claim. By finding them, this study would suggest having the study would suggest having the study would suggest having the study of the text to be included in the literature classes, and for millennial to have digital re-imagination of Paradise Lost. Therefore, they would know that events happing in Genesis are also realized in John Milton’s Masterpiece in a more dramatic and epic way. This also can be a connection to what is happening around in the society like political aspects, noxious display of government, and social nuances. The allusions can, therefore be a helpful way to use especially by the millennial to be solely oriented about the connection of literature and the current social and societal context. |
