Summary, etc Summary: The purpose of this study was to determine the perception of BSN levels III and IV student nurses on Community Extension Services and Development (CESDEV) program of the UCCN - Banilad Campus school year 2009-2010. The researchers took 344 samples from the total population of 2450 of the Levels III and IV nursing students and the respondents of this study was randomly selected. As to demographic characteristics of the respondent, majority of the respondents were within the range of 19-20 years old. The data gathered revealed that out of 344 nursing students, only ninety seven (97) were males, and two hundred forty seven (247) for females; imperative therefore majority of the respondents were females. The 344 respondents were equally distributed among Levels III and IV which consisted of 172 nursing students per year level. As to the management of CESDEV programs, two out of six questions were satisfactory and the remaining four were rated as fair. Therefore, the overall was rated as fair. In terms of students benefits from CESDEV program, four out of six questions were rated as satisfactory while the remaining two were rated as fair. Therefore, the overall was interpreted as satisfactory. As to the benefits to the community of the CESDEV program, seven out of ten questions were rated as very satisfactory while the remaining three were rated as satisfactory. Overall, it was interpreted as very satisfactory. Based on the findings of the study, the researchers would recommend and hereby suggested for consideration that CESDEV will make an advance notice of any scheduled activities, taking into considerations, students academic and duty schedules, and an ample time to secure parents/ guardian's consent through an official consent slip or properly accomplished form. The Community Extension Services and Development (CESDEV) program should also take into consideration the leadership skills of the students and provide trainings and seminars to enhance leadership skills and personality development, and lastly that CESDEV program may provide orientation programs for possible activities beneficial to the adopted communities.
