Summary, etc Summary: Maintaining the employee's work motivation is one of the biggest challenges to keep employees productivity at work as high a possible. Sequentially to increase employees' work motivation, owners must attempt to provide better and maintain the factors that keep employees very satisfied to act and achieve the goals assigned to the employees. The primary purpose of the study was to assess the factors that affect work motivation of restaurant employees at a mall in Cebu City. This study was undertaken to formulate a proposed intervention plan that will assist business owners taken in action, conducted at the Ayala Center Cebu, Philippines. There were forty (40) chosen respondents chosen from ten (10) different restaurants. This study used a descriptive survey method utilizing research made questionnaires to gather data. Majority of the respondents were between 20-25 years old, female. The statistical used for data analysis were the simple percentage, weighted mean, and Chi- square test. The researchers conducted a dry run, and actual survey at the restaurant. Based on the research results, the majority of employees responds are highly motivated regarding incentives and bonuses, the safety of the of the workplace, teamwork and management training. Hence, the null hypothesis was accepted. The study concludes that the dining staffs in the restaurant are highly motivated when provided with establish needs, appropriate training, and convenient work environment.
