Specifically, this study seeks to reveal the diagnostic test, achievement test, academic performance, and Nurse Licensure Examination (NLE) performance of the subjects and the significant relationship between and among these variables. Diagnostic test conducted upon entrance to the College of Nursing is not a predictor of the performance of the graduates in achievements tests taken for professional courses and the NLE. There is an inference in this investigation that cognitive abilities measured by the diagnostic tool utilized were improved as the subjects to the study moved to a higher level in nursing school. The diagnostic test result did not influence the Grade Point Average (GPA), which gives an overview of the academic performance of the graduates. This result indicates that the graduates have acquired knowledge of the studied subject matter in the classroom. Achievement tests which contribute to the overall GPA of the graduates measured this knowledge. In contrary, GPA is a strong predictor of the graduate's performance in the NLE since professional courses taken are part of the coverage of the NLE.
