There are apparent well- documentation of the health, nutritional, immunologic, developmental, psychological, social, and economic, and environmental benefits of exclusive breastfeeding. There is no realization of the full benefits of exclusive breastfeeding if there are hindrances in it. This study intends to investigate the experiences of breastfeeding working mothers in Cebu City. Specifically, this study aims to explore the breastfeeding practices of the working mothers; gain a deeper insight into their emotional and psychological aspects; identify breastfeeding challenges they encounter and assess the perceived benefits of breastfeeding. This study utilized the qualitative- explorative research method. It focuses on the the meaning of lived experiences of humans. It is an approach to thinking about what life experiences of people are like and what they mean to understand fully lived experience and perception to which it gives. Purposive sampling was utilized to select the breastfeeding working mothers in Cebu City. There was an observation of the six commonalities of the informants' experiences. Among the breastfeeding practices, most are exclusively breastfeeding while continuing with employment. It appeared hat their feelings toward breastfeeding while working are both positive and negative though it seems that most of them are happy, satisfied and fulfilled. Women felt that they need support from their employers as well as colleagues at work to be able to balance their responsibilities. Breastfeeding may be hindered by maternal employment especially if the workplace does not support the needs of a nursing employee. There are lots of challenges with breastfeeding while working. Mothers faced the challenges to keep up with their role as a mother, and as an employee and with that they have reported feelings of fulfillment and satisfaction.
