The researchers chose to conduct this study to determine the respondents’ understanding about the nature of PTB, the reactions upon knowing the diagnosis of the family member, and the challenges encountered by the respondents. The study utilized quantitative, descriptive – co-relational design. The selected population group of all comprised of 15 caregivers of client with pulmonary tuberculosis and are residents of Barangay Kalunasan. Data were collected through researchers concluded that both the primary caregiver and the family member with PTB experienced the same challenges. Majority of the respondents experienced difficulty causes disruption of their normal daily activities and also placed them into, physical, emotional and financial stress but despite the challenges encountered, they were able to cope with the difficulties. Findings of the study served as bases for a proposed action plan. The researchers came up with the following recommendations. The future researchers will pursue on the study; Lived experiences of the family living with pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB) client and to implement the proposed action plan.
