This research study measures the level of compliance on the DOTS program among PTB patients in selected barangays that are affiliated with University of Cebu College of Nursing. The study pertains to the following areas Barangay Hipodromo, Kalunasan, Kasambagan and Subangdaku. Compliance in this study is the adherence to the treatment program being implemented. The study sought to answer the profile of the respondents, the extent of compliance of the patients in the program, the significant relationship between the profile of respondents and their compliance and based from the findings of the study, what intervention plan may be proposed. The study is anchored on the theory of Albert Bandura which is the Self-efficacy Theory. This study utilized a descriptive correlational approach using a researcher-made questionnaire. The study included all registered patients who are currently under the DOTS (Directly Observed Treatment Short course) program in selected barangays. After the findings of the study were drawn, the researchers were able to accept the null hypothesis which states that there is no significant relationship between the profile of the respondents and their compliance. The result of the study showed areas in the program that are not highly complied and this is the basis of the intervention plan. In the course of the study, the researchers were able to assess the behavior of the residents toward the research, they were open and cooperative. The researchers were able to identify the significance of the research because it can be a basis to formulate an intervention plan to improve the compliance to the treatment program. Motivation and encouragement should be taken into consideration to enhance and strengthen the compliance of the patients.
