This study aimed to unveil the cash management practices and cash management challenges experienced by MSMEs in Barangay Tingub, Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines. This research applied the predictive relational research method conducted among the selected DTI registered MSMEs in Barangay Tingub, Mandaue City, Cebu. The respondents were the 30 owners and financial managers of MSMEs. They are chosen using random sampling technique. This study utilized a researcher-made instrument to gather important information regarding the MSMEs' cash management practices and challenges. Different statistical treatments were used to analyze the data: weighted mean, Pearson correlation coefficient, and one-way ANOVA. The research revealed that the cash management practices of MSMEs were moderately practiced. It was concluded that the cash management challenges were moderately extensive in the operation of the MSMEs. In addition, the result showed that there is no significant relationship between the cash management practices employed by the respondents and the extent of cash management challenges that affect the business operation. On the other hand, there is no significant difference between the responses on the cash management practices employed and the responses on the extent of cash management challenges that affect the business operation. Furthermore, the researchers recommended that the output of the study, which is proposed strategic cash management plan, be adopted and implemented. It is also highly recommended that the study be conducted in a broader scope to represent the MSMEs better and gain more detailed information.
