The first part of the thesis is about the existing problems in regards with the use of candles in churches and its effect in the environment when use in large volume. The device uses solar panel to capture solar energy and stores it in a rechargeable battery and Light Emitting Diode that is used as the replacement of candle wick. And it is operated by inserting a coin on the coin slot. The second part of the thesis is about the works of other researcher which are related to this study. The third part is the conceptualizing the technological design which includes the system design of the product and the hardware and software components that were used. The fourth part of the study is about the testing and refinement of the product design which includes the operations and final form of the product, its ergonomic, aesthetic, safety, and maintenance features. And the last part is about engineering economy followed by the definition of terms, bibliography and curriculum vitae.
