In line with the tourism industry, cultural preservation is a vital facet of maintaining the identity and value of cultural heritage. In Cebu, the experiences of preservation and restoration experts working on historic Roman Catholic churches are facing challenges due to development. The decreasing availability of skilled labor, driven by experts moving to other projects and struggling with the rising costs of materials and inflation, threaten the role of these churches as cultural symbols and links to this city's rich past that embody a unique aspect of Cebu's heritage. Therefore, the researches propose efforts to preserve these historic structures and the associated traditions of the experts who work on them.
