This study aims to determine the potential of Mung beans (Vigna radiata) as a potential alternative culture medium for Trypticase Soy Agar (TSA). As the high costs of such commercial culture media challenge microbiology classes and research, the search for alternative and cheap culture mediums has been accelerated. The researchers aimed to utilize one of the most common and overlooked plants as a source of essential nutrients for microorganisms to grow.
