This study targets to interpret the perceptions of the parents who are residents in Barangay Mantuyong in Mandaue City the barangay regarded as the top barangay pertaining to Juvenile delinquency. The researchers aim to gather data by giving out researcher-made survey questionnaires that contain the demographic profile of the respondents, the perspectives of the respondents on the familial risk factors related to juvenile delinquency and the perceptions of parents toward juvenile delinquents.
With the data gathered, researchers were able to analyze and interpret using statistical tool and presented a conclusion that the demographic profile of the parents in Mantuyong and their perception regarding the familial risk factor has no significant relationship related to juvenile delinquency of their children. These findings are the basis used by the researchers to propose a seminar that could enhance the development of both parents and youth, and to promote healthy relationships among family, peers, and communities."
