As noted by Zhang (2020), the growth of a particular hotel depends on service quality, which in turn is dependent on the employees' performance; it directly affects service quality and organizational outcomes. This study explores how department assignment and tenure impact employee performance at Seda Ayala Center Cebu. With this research, thirty-three rank-and-file employees have studied how these variables impact their performance to gain actionable insights on improving workforce effectiveness and service quality within the hotel context. The study employed a descriptive-correlational methodology utilizing secondary data gathered from Seda's existing Performance Development Review forms. This approach enabled the researchers to assess three key performance indicators: fulfillment of the company's vision, mission, and values, performance of assigned tasks, and compliance with rules and regulations. The findings were highly correlated with department assignment and employee performance, as shown by a p-value of 0.0298 and a Cramer's V of about 0.770, showing a significant variation in performance between departments. Further, the longer the employee tenure, the more positively it influences performance, showing that experienced employees are better at achieving organizational objectives. In this regard, a proposed Employee Intervention Scheme includes tailored training sessions, regular performance evaluations, and mentorship programs to enhance employee engagement and service quality, thus contributing to the hotel's continued growth." --Abstract
