This study employed a descriptive survey method at the University of Cebu-Banilad and Main Campus. A total of 33 student body organizations were selected as respondents through complete enumeration sampling. Data were collected using a researcher-designed survey questionnaire, including questions on the organizations' profiles, funds, and disbursement management practices. After receiving the necessary permissions, surveys were conducted with the 33 treasurers of the selected organizations, following ethical research principles. Data were analyzed using frequency counts, simple percentages, ranking, weighted mean, and one-way variance analysis [ANOVA].
Findings showed no significant difference between the profiles and funds and disbursement management practices of the accredited student body organization, denoting that the student body organizations have consistent funds and disbursement management practices regardless of their diverse profiles. Nevertheless, student body organizations moderately practiced funds and disbursement management practices. The result of this study is the key driver for creating a funds and disbursements manual.
The accredited student body organizations at the University of Cebu-Banilad and Main Campus practice funds and disbursement management, focusing on safekeeping, fund disbursement, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. These practices ensure financial integrity, prevent misappropriation and maintain transparency and accountability. Regardless of their diverse profiles, these organizations demonstrate efficient financial management, which is essential for effective operation." --Abstract
