Summary: Students who dream to surpass his\her classmate will do every possible thing to excel in the class, this study seeks to find out if self- concept helps the students in their academic performance. The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship between the mental image of one's self and the academic performance of regular BS-IT 3rd year students of UC- Banilad. Specifically, this study seeks to the following questions: 1. Does self- concept and academic performance help in maintaining grades? 2. In what way does self- concept and academic performance help the student to maintain their grades? 3. Is there a relationship between self- concept and academic performance?
